OUR FOUNDERS

DEEKSHA GUPTA

CO- FOUNDER

(she/her)

A medical student in Bangalore, I like books, stationery, dancing, cooking, and a good workout!

My journey into the world of menstrual health was quite unexpected. Initially, I had little knowledge even about the different products available. Having come across some pages on menstrual health on Instagram, it just clicked. Very soon, I found myself reading, researching and following multiple Menstrual Health Management pages on Instagram. Before I knew it, I was a cup and cloth pad user! As my interest in the field grew, so did my desire to promote and support the cause. Tarang's co-founder Sharanya, on hearing about this, was intrigued by the idea of working on MHM and came on board!

SHARANYA RAJASHEKAR

CO-FOUNDER

(she/her)

As a final-year medical student, I hold a deep passion for working in the field of menstrual health. However, that's not the extent of my interests. I derive joy from activities such as running, reading, meeting new people, and singing, among others. My journey into this field was greatly influenced by my personal experience in searching for the right menstrual product. Like many menstruators in India, my journey began with sanitary pads. Nonetheless, my ultimate goal was always to adopt a sustainable product. Over the past two years, I have explored various menstrual products, including tampons, cloth pads, and menstrual cups. Presently, I proudly identify as a menstrual cup user and occasionally switch to cloth pads. It has truly been an enlightening journey!
